Lead Guitar and Vocals
My love for the music played by the Grateful Dead inspired me to play guitar when I was in high school. In 1979, good friend Jonathan Spitz handed me a beat up nylon string and showed me a few chords and I haven’t stopped playing since. How lucky I have been over the years to find great friends to play music with. From my Far Rockaway, NY high school buddies to my SUNY Albany college buddies (www.deadstein.com), and then to meeting Jay Hardikar in my professional life. 18 years after meeting Jay, we are still playing music together and have been blessed to find three other like-minded musicians, in Pete, Gary and Joe, who share a love for the same style of music and have become great friends. I crave the sound of a single coil pick-up fed into an old Fender Twin Reverb amp.
