About the My School Cooperative Preschool:
For over 30 years My School Cooperative Preschool has provided Littleton, Massachusetts and surrounding communities with high quality early childhood education, promoting learning through play while fostering lasting friendships among My School families. My School was founded in 1974 by Noni Thompson of Littleton, who felt that the town would benefit from a cooperative nursery school and a new approach to early childhood education. Noni and a group of parents had met during the previous year to start organizing the school (finding a location, publicizing to fill enrollment, writing bylaws, hiring teachers, and buying equipment.) The school opened in September of 1974 in the spacious lower level of First Church Unitarian in Littleton, where it remains to this day. My School operates on a nonprofit, nonsectarian basis and is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care.
